MEET LAURA HANCOCK

Greetings: I appreciate you taking the time to stop by. My name is Laura Hancock and I love teaching, writing, and world travel. I also enjoy cooking, Mel Brooks movies, and having my tall partner (pictured here) fetch things off tall shelves.

I am always on the move and a xenophile, besides. Within the United States I have lived and worked in Kentucky, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, Washington D.C., and Washington State. Outside of it I've worked in Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Russia, and the Republic of Georgia. I speak English, Russian, Japanese, and German.

I am a CELTA-trained, M.A.-holding English teacher who champions Task-Based Learning. I also have extensive experience in teacher-training. I currently work as an English Language Fellow based out of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
